Time Flies

Never have I seen so much truth in one picture....

I start every work day with a large cup of coffe in my favorite travel mug.  I do not function without it.  At all.

I'm not really sure how or when, but it's the end of February.  What!?!  Odd.  That means that my half marathon is approximately two month away and it's time to kick off training.  (And sign up).  Better late than never, right?  I have a training plan and I'm sticking to it.  I have Fella's word that he'll kick me out of the house to go run on days that I'm feeling sloth-like.  It certainly helps that the weather should start turning nice soon.  I'm really over this whole winter thing.

I also stumbled across a Cross Fit gym that's only a few blocks from my house.  It's on the pricey side for membership/classes (compared to a traditional gym), but I'm thinking I may at least give it a shot.  I miss working out in a group setting and the classes at my gym just weren't cutting it.  Still trying to figure out if I am going to pull the trigger or not.  The great thing is that they have classes that fit with my schedule which my old gym did not.  It would be great to be able to have an early morning class before work and not have to worry about my work out for the rest of the day.

On a non work out note, Fella, his best friend, and I went to go see Book of Mormon last night.  Before you non-theater/non-musical people tune out, you should know that it's a comedy written by the creators of South Park.  I almost fell out of my chair a few times because of shock and laughter.  It's certainly not a show for the faint of heart....or if you're sensitive to cursing.  Two huge thumbs up!

I have heard good things about the results of CF, I also heard it is hard to train for endurance races and do crossfit at the same time (let the CF nation and the Endurance nation argue that one out) I have never done it. But it intrigues me

I've got maggots in my scrotum!!

Saw it here in Portland, absolutely LOVED it. I walk around a lot saying "Hello" in exactly that tone they had, or every time someone else says "Hello" I say "My name is Elder Price." Yes, I am a big whack job ;)

CF is pricey compared to other gyms, but I justified it by saying its like having an almost-personal trainer. Some days I'm in a class of just 2 people and others maybe up to 10 people. And it's a great workout. I love it. I hope you are able to check it out!
